RESIDENTIAL SOCIAL HOUSING

ROSEMEADOW SENIORS

Rosemeadow Seniors is designed to maximise amenity for residents, whilst knitting into the existing surrounding context of predominantly single storey residential masonry houses. Working closely with the team at LAHC we have developed the concept design and optimised the construction techniques, and materials for the most efficient lifting, and access strategy. Comprised of a part three, and part two storey built form with contiguous basement, the project negotiates a complex set of stormwater constraints over a sloping site with street frontages on two sides.

MAKO Architecture practice on lands once inhabited and fostered by people including at least the Gadigal, Garigal, Gayamaygal and Ngunnawal clans.

With respect to the lands we inhabit, work on and work for, we recognise the traditional owners and their descendants as having continuing connection to the land and waters, and thank them for fostering country since time immemorial. We acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded and that the earth, waters and skies associated with this continent always have been and always will be of it’s traditional owners.
